#184.  From the tour of the carrier spanning Forty Licks collection, The Rolling Stones chose a few cities to play 3 distinctive shows, one in a stadium, one in an arena and one in a theater.  Each show would have sets that would be constructed for each venue and obviously the theater ticket was the most difficult to get.

My buddy and I really tried to get tickets to The Wiltern, but we knew we were probably going to get shut out.  But that didn't mean we wouldn't go.  I finally caved in and bought a ticket on eBay, spending more on the ticket than I have ever spent on a concert before or since.  My buddy, in a fit of optimism, decided to line up at the Wiltern and hope for the best.  He got there around 5:30, first in line, and sure enough he got in for much less than I spent.

But I don't regret spending that money.  I got a perfect spot, center and about 20 feet from band.  My friend was in balcony.  And we both probably cried that night.

As far as the sets, over the 3 nights in Los Angeles the Stones played 46 different songs, and of the 20 songs they played at The Wiltern only 6 of these were played at the other shows.
